Elvetino AG: Efficient personnel planning in on-board catering with IVU.rail

Berlin, 26 February 2025 | Adaptive, digital, automated: The Swiss catering company Elvetino AG uses the integrated software solution IVU.rail from IVU Traffic Technologies AG for flexible and efficient duty and personnel scheduling for its 600 employees in service, charter and logistics.

Elvetino AG provides catering for passengers on more than 350 trains a day on the Swiss long-distance network. The company provides catering services in 170 dining cars and in nine different types of vehicles. To optimise the deployment of its 600 employees, Elvetino AG now relies on the IVU.rail IT solution. In June 2024 the implementation of duty and personnel scheduling began, six months later the personnel dispatching was integrated. An interactive self-learning course (e-learning) from the IVU.academy was used for the first time to train employees in the use of the new employee portal. This enabled employees to acquire the required knowledge flexibly and efficiently at their own pace.
