Klagenfurt Mobil modernises bus operation with IT solutions from IVU
Berlin/Klagenfurt, 11 March 2025 | Digital, efficient and well informed—Klagenfurt Mobil GmbH (KMG) is modernising the operation of its control centre and passenger information system with integrated software solutions from IVU Traffic Technologies AG. The latest generation of the on-board computer IVU.ticket.box G5 will also be deployed.
With 83 buses on 13 routes in the tourist region of Klagenfurt, Capital of the federal state of Carinthia, KMG provides reliable local public transport in the city on Lake Wörthersee. In order to continue to offer its passengers the best possible service, the transport operator is modernising its infrastructure and relying on IT solutions from IVU Traffic Technologies. This marks the successful completion of another milestone. The deployment of the latest standards has significantly improved real-time information and the IVU.fleet control centre solution now provides KMG with modern communication and planning tools. New hardware has also been installed in the buses: part of the fleet has been equipped with the latest generation of on-board computers, the IVU.ticket.box G5, and the rest of the fleet has been prepared for further upgrades.
