New generation of IVU on-board computers goes on board the ZSG

Berlin/Olten, 15 January 2025 | Clear, user-friendly, powerful – with the Zürichsee-Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (ZSG), another customer in Switzerland is using the new multifunctional on-board computer IVU.ticket.box G5 from IVU Traffic Technologies AG.

ZSG is a company with a long tradition: the boats of ZSG and its predecessor company have been transporting passengers across Lake Zurich since 1890. Today, the company, a founding member of the Zurich Transport Network, operates several scheduled and charter routes. ZSG relies on modern technology: Since the summer of 2024, a total of 21 devices of the new generation IVU.ticket.box G5 from IVU Traffic Technologies have been in operation on the boats and in the stationary points of sale at deployment. The multifunctional on-board computers are not only used for ticket sales on some boats - but also control the automatic stop announcements as well as the interior/exterior displays. To date, this is a one-of-a-kind solution in Switzerland. In addition, cable car line Adliswil - Felsenegg, which is located near Lake Zurich, also uses a IVU.ticket.box G5 for stationary sales, supported by ZSG. Reliable operation of the G5 is ensured by IVU.cloud.
